TEENSY-Synth EXTRA: Do we need the Audio Board?

Here's an update for the Teensy-Synth project. The original project used the Teensy Audio Adaptor Board for it's audio output. This provided 16-Bit audio at 44.1 Khz.

The Teensy 3.2 also has a built-in DAC providing 12-Bit audio at 44.1 Khz so I wondered if this was suitable for out synth project. Watch the video for the results.

  1. Hi! Good morning, I'm trying to follow this from Argentina but I cannot seem to get Teensys 3.2, they ship mislabeled Pro Micros here and I had three returns already, I'd like to know if there's a chance to make it work with either a Pro Micro (from what I've read and attempted there is no way to get Audio.h and Midi.h working on pro micro), and besides that I might be able to get a Teensy LC but I'm unsure how to verify it without actually ordering one and opening it, which would make me unable to return it :/

  2. Spot on with this write-up, I truly think this website needs much more consideration. I’ll probably be again to read much more, thanks for that info.
